Maha Shivratri snan scheduled for February 26. Traffic police authorities implemented integrated diversion plan at all seven entry points to ease the rush of vehicles into the city limits. Once the majority of parking slots were filled, devotees and pilgrims were offered shuttle bus services to reach the mela area. Senior cops claimed that a major chunk of devotees are currently arriving via mela special trains, and for that, mela police are coordinating with Prayagraj district and railway authorities to streamline the flow of devotiones. The traffic scenario has improved, but the city leading to Sangam wore a crowded look with hordes of pilgrims and devotees continuing to flock to themela campus from all corners. The Maha Kumbh is the world’s biggest religious and spiritual congregation on the banks of the Ganga. The last Sunday of the MahaKumbh, district police authorities activated all parking slots in border areas on Saturday night to regulate flow of devotee. The majority of Parking slots at Malak Har Har, Phaphamau, Naini, Jhunsi, Arail, Dhoomanganj, Nehru Park, Agriculture Maheva, Chini Mill, Bela Kachar, Chota, and Bada Baghara got filled in the early hours, and cops are diverting traffic to new parking slots.
