Manisha, 19, and Rani, 22, were returning to the venue from a salon after preparing for their wedding when their car brushed with a bike belonging to one of the accused. The group then attacked the car, assaulted the sisters, and thrashed their relatives. The grooms, Devendra Singh and Arjun Singh, cancelled the wedding and left with their families. A case was filed against 16 individuals under BNS sections 191 (rioting) and 109 (attempted murder), along with Section 3 of the SC/ST Act, 1989. Four people have been taken into custody and efforts are underway to apprehend the others, police said.
