Mauricio Ruffy added one more knockout to his credit at UFC 313. His stats are now at 12-1, out of which 11 wins are from knockouts. In just less than 3 minutes into the first round against the veteran fighter King Green (32-17-1), Ruffy placed a spinning heel kick on Green, leading himself to a victory via knockout. This sent a wave of shock amongst the spectators, who later on went on to claim it as the knockout of the year. Ruffy’s brilliant performance was applauded and praised, which led to a reward of a well-deserved $50,000 performance bonus. The Brazilian fighter is more known for his spectacular finishes, as seen in his UFC debut knockout of Jamie Mullarkey and now his stunning victory over Green. He confidently stated that he has much more to offer, particularly against grapplers and wrestlers, and he is eager to prove it inside the Octagon. Upon asking who he would be willing to face next, Ruffy took no time to call out Beneil Dariush, a respected veteran and former title contender, who has not stepped into the ring since his defeat against Arman Tsarukyan at UFC Fight Night in December 2023.
