Sam Nordquist, 24, was beaten with sticks, ropes, canes, belts and even a table leg. His body was dumped in an empty field in Canandaigua, New York. Five people have been charged with his murder. Police have not ruled out the possibility of a hate crime, but the investigation is ongoing. The suspects were arraigned and are being held without bail at the Ontario County Jail. The case has been described as \”beyond depraved\” and \”the worst homicide investigation that our office has ever been a part of,\” said the district attorney. The investigation is still ongoing and police are working to determine the exact relationship between Nordquist and the suspects and their connections to one another.
