Sourav, one of the alleged illegal Indian immigrants deported from the US to Amritsar, shared his harrowing experience. He revealed that approximately Rs 45 lakh was spent to facilitate his journey to the US, only for it to end in vain. The deportee shared that his parents had sold their land, taken loans, and are now seeking government assistance. Two planes transporting Indian nationals who had illegally migrated have now touched down at the AmritSar airport. The initial flight, operated by the US Air Force with 100 Indian citizens aboard, arrived on February 5. The subsequent aircraft, carrying another group of Indian nationals, landed on Sunday. \”What can I say to the U.S. government? They did everything as per rules,\” Sourav further stated. He was promptly taken to a police station within 2-3 hours of his arrest, followed by his transfer to a detention camp. \”We stayed at the camp for 15-18 days. There was no one to listen to us. Two days ago, we were told that we were being shifted to another camp,\” he further added.
