The 22-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by six men in the early hours of Thursday. The six have been charged under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections for rape, gangrape and other offences. The accused lured her to the spot by sending a message from her kidnapped brother’s mobile phone. When she reached the place he asked her to come to, the accused beat up the victim, her brother and the autorickshaw driver who had ferried her. The survivor approached the Bhiwandi Police after she managed to escape. All the six accused were charged under various sections for raped, gang rape and other. offences under the Bharatiy NyayaSanhita (BNS), and were yet to be arrested, according to the official. The victim was abducted by her ex-boyfriend and was gang- raped by him and his friends, a report by The Times Of India said. The incident occurred near a school in Nagaon and inside a pick up van in Fatimanagar in Maharashtra’s BhiWandi.
