The Immigration and Foreigners Bill 2025 is likely to be introduced in Lok Sabha. The bill aims to modernize and consolidate India’s immigration laws. The three-language policy remains to be a point of contention with the DMK giving an adjournment motion notice to discuss the issue in the Parliament. On Monday, DMK MP Kanimozhi Karanidhi filed a notice for a breach of parliamentary privilege against Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The controversy erupted when Pradhnal reportedly referred to Tamil Nadu MPs as \”uncivilised\” during a parliamentary discussion on the issue of the state’s three- language policy. The two sides are yet to reach an agreement over the issue. The debate is expected to continue for the rest of the session. The session is expectedto last until the end of the day on Tuesday. The last session of the Parliament was held on February 14. The Budget Session will be held on March 1 and 2, and will be followed by the Budget Vote on March 6.
