The incident occurred in Mandrem, Goa, after a heated argument over a pet dog. One of the women in the group was pulled by her hair and she fell down. Her son tried to help but was injured when he was run over by the car. Police have charged the driver with murder and are waiting for the victim’s family to arrive at the hospital to file a formal complaint. The incident is being investigated by the Goa Police and the incident is under investigation by the National Commission for Investigation into the Death of Persons (NCPI) and the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (NCI), Goa. The victim’s son has been taken to hospital and is being treated for his injuries. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made so far, police said. The case has been referred to the NCI for further investigation and the investigation is on-going, police sources said.
