Vizianagaram Lok Sabha MP Kalisetti Appala Naidu has pledged to dole out Rs 50,000 for every third child who turns out to be a baby girl in his constituency. The money could compound up to Rs 10 lakh by the time she reaches marriageable age. The parliamentarian said he was inspired by the calls given by chief minister N Chandrababu NaidU to increase the population of Andhra Pradesh. \”If the third child is a boy, we will give a cow and a calf. We will make a fixed deposit of Rs 50k if the third baby is a girl,\” he said. The Indian population has to rise, he said, adding that he was ‘inspired’ by the chief minister’s call to increase population of the state. He said he would deposit the money in favour of the newly born girl child in the form of afixed deposit, which could grow up to £5,000 by marriageable aged of 18.
